I opened this kit and was immediately struck by the non-typical manner in which the sprues and pieces were laid out. The fuselage is split along the top three quarters and the flat bottom with the wings and horizontal tail members attached. (pic 2) The first thought in my head was: “This is moulded like a toy and I’ll have no seams to fill.” My second thought, “Hey! This is great, I’ll have no seams to fill!” (more…)

AIRBRUSHING, PAINTS & FINISHING COATS SEMINAR:

During a recent meeting of the HMMG, a group participation seminar was held on the subject of air-brushing with respect to locally available paints.  Much of this information was already known by many of the members but the seminar provided a forum for information to be shared to all members. Extra benefits included the dispelling of a few urban rumours as well as revealing a few individual “secrets” to the group.  (more…)
